Trinity Challenge

The Trinity Challenge is a unique and enriching opportunity for all Year 9 students to engage in our co-curricular programme. Building on the foundations of our Graduation Programme, this initiative offers a wide variety of experiences designed to foster resilience, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.Ìý

More than just a character-building platform, the Trinity Challenge actively supports students51ÁÔÆæ™ health and wellbeing while helping them develop essential life and employability skills. Informed by feedback from local employers, the challenges are specifically designed to strengthen four key areas:

1. Communication 51ÁÔÆæ“ Sharing your ideas clearly and listening to others.ÌýÌý

  1. Problem-solving 51ÁÔÆæ“ Finding smart solutions when things don51ÁÔÆæ™t go to plan.
  2. Resilience 51ÁÔÆæ“ Bouncing back when things get tough and not giving up.Ìý
  3. Collaboration 51ÁÔÆæ“ Working well with other people to reach a shared goal.Skills that are consistently highlighted as vital in the modern workplace.Ìý

Throughout the year, students will take part in meaningful projects that reflect our professional standards and values. These include community-based activities such as orienteering, environmental pledges, and personal responsibility tasks like changing a bed or reading aloud to someone at home. Each challenge encourages independence, organisation, and reflection, helping students take pride in their progress and character development.Ìý

Students can earn recognition through a tiered award system:Ìý

  • Bronze Award 51ÁÔÆæ“ for completing 15 challengesÌý
  • Silver Award 51ÁÔÆæ“ for completing 20 challengesÌý
  • Gold Award 51ÁÔÆæ“ for completing 25 challengesÌý

Completion of the Bronze Award also contributes to the Skills section of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, offering students an additional pathway to achievement.ÌýÌý

To support their journey, each student receives a hard copy of the Trinity Challenge booklet, with an electronic version available for use at home. We encourage students to collect and submit evidence to the designated contact listed for each challenge.Ìý

The Trinity Challenge reflects our deep commitment to personal development and prepares students not only for academic success but for life beyond the classroom. We invite you to support your child as they embrace this exciting and transformative experience in Year 9.
